SPC is looking for a recent graduate that has the ability to impact the business by offering knowledge of the most current trends to market to our demographic and can participate in our Brain Factory in which the staff contribute to research, development of programs and content.
Reporting to our Partnerships Manager, the Business Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the strategy and delivering growth for SPC’s educational program. You will focus on the assisting with execution of campaigns and projects that drive portfolio growth within the high school and post-secondary channels, increasing engagement and sales of the SPC.
Here's how you will impact SPC:
- Support strategic relationships with educational partners (high schools, universities, colleges, Student Associations, bookstores), growing participants who are actively involved in working with the SPC program.
- Conduct outreach and initial calls with high schools, universities, colleges, campus bookstores, and Student Associations.
- Serve as an advisor and liaison to schools/educators and provide them with resources and support to implement SPC program and drive awareness.
- Assist in delivering a robust communication plan that connects with schools regularly, including school and on-campus visits, when permitted.
- Participate in the delivery of workshops that provide educators with the skills, knowledge, and inspiration they need to positively engage their students to become members and ambassadors of the program.
- Provide feedback to the Partnerships Manager on educational trends within the high schools and post-secondary environment, recommending opportunities to align with those trends where possible.
- Organize and analyze sales and educational partner data with Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.
- Supporting the partnerships manager on SPIFF program
- Manage inventory and ordering for the high school cohort
- Lead generations in high school, bookstore, university and college contact
- Support in research and analysis for high school and campus
- Conduct bookstore audits to ensure up to date information on SPC’s promos, SPIFF program, etc.

- Analysis: measures the impact of school actions, using both quantitative and qualitative information and research.
- Customer Focus: demonstrates a desire to proactively develop best in class strategies to drive engagement with educational partners leading to program growth. Provides support to the Partnerships Manager to deliver higher revenue and engagement results.
What you contribute to the team:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a sales, partnership, fundraising or fund development focused role including internships
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship or similar program.
- Recent Graduate with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Experience in cold-calling
- Exceptional written and verbal business communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and motivate people at all levels
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High proficiency in Microsoft Suite
