We are a forward-thinking marketing and product-driven organisation seeking a skilled and informed data analyst expert with new, innovative ideas and a keen eye for detail. 
 
SPC is looking for an individual that describes themselves as having a growth mindset, organized, and sales driven to join us as the Partnerships Manager. As the Partnerships manager you are responsible for managing the existing partnerships and identifying new business opportunities with net new brands. You will oversee a portfolio of national partners, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. 
 
Here's how you will impact SPC:   
Business Development – 70% 
  • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets 
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers 
  • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business 
  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these 
Partnership Management – 30% 
Relationship Management 
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all partner account management matters 
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships 
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed 
  • Pitching new marketing opportunities to encourage partner collaboration  
  • Manage in-store operations communication and implementation with head office  
 
Identify Growth Opportunities  
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing partners and identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas 
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities across Canada 
 
Contract Negotiation 
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits 
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors 
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our marketing solutions according to partner needs and objectives 
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders 
 
Reporting  
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) 
  • Prepare reports on account status 
  • Update CRM on a daily basis and ensure accuracy in data entry

  • Priority Setting: Strong organizational skills to manage priorities and multi-task accordingly, excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks to meet deadlines. 
  • Customer Focus: Professional experience building successful new business and partnerships strategies with a strong focus on clear tangible results and funnel growth   
  • Natural curiosity: You are naturally curious and inquisitive, a skillset which you deploy to uncover your customer’s needs, and to identify any objections and blockers to proposals. 
  • Sales skills: You are adept at prospecting, are energized by cold calling and cold outreach, and are equally skilled at cultivating relationships with existing clients. 
  • Negotiating: Obtain maximum results from meetings in which interests’ conflict both in terms of content and maintaining good relations.  Adapt to ever-changing client needs and expectations.  
  • Ownership: ​Has successfully demonstrated the ability to take ownership of their work from start to finish  
  • Learning Ability: ​The ability to absorb new information readily and to put it into practice effectively.  
  • Data Handling: ​Understands the importance of adhering to SPC policies, processes and practices; and, a strong ability to deal with sensitive materials with tact and discretion.  
 
What you contribute to the team: 
  • 10+ years of work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role 
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field 
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level 
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Sugar CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel and PowerPointl) 
  • Experience using Project Management platforms (ClickUp, Asana, Basecamp) 
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple account projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail 
  • Experience of managing a large number of accounts at a time  
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience working in/with the corporate retail industry is a nice to have
